After last year’s record-breaking success, the university is looking ahead — with excitement and big goals — to SUNY Fredonia’s Day of Giving.

On Wednesday, April 1, alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff will once again come together for 24 hours of generosity and Fredonia pride.

In 2025, 672 donors helped raise more than $90,000, making it the most successful Day of Giving in Fredonia’s history. That momentum inspires the university to aim even higher. The goal for 2026 is ambitious but achievable: $100,000 raised in just 24 hours.

This year, Fredonia’s Day of Giving will offer even more opportunities to support what matters most to donors. Fans of Blue Devil athletics will have expanded options to give to their favorite teams, directly supporting student-athletes as they compete, learn, and lead. Across campus, colleges and departments will showcase exciting initiatives — from hands-on learning experiences and research opportunities to student support programs that enhance success both inside and outside the classroom. Donors will also be able to contribute to emerging and priority needs, ensuring Fredonia can respond quickly to challenges and opportunities as they arise.

The 2026 Day of Giving will be especially meaningful as it helps kick off SUNY Fredonia’s Bicentennial year. As the university celebrates 200 years of excellence, access, and impact, participation in the Day of Giving will help set the tone for the next century — strengthening the student experience and honoring the legacy shared by alumni.

Involvement matters, whether donors give, share a message on social media, or encourage classmates to participate. The Day of Giving is about more than dollars raised; it’s about coming together as a community to show a collective belief in SUNY Fredonia and its students.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates as the university approaches what’s sure to be its best Day of Giving yet!
