The Fredonia State women's soccer team took down Oneonta in a 4-2 win at home on Saturday. Gabby Irwin paced the offense with a goal and two assists. Bronwyn Madden, Grace Mackey, and Anna Ratchuk also scored.

The Devils wasted little time in getting on the board. Madden took an assist from Irwin 3:40 into the game. Irwin passed to Madden who was darting at the goal. Madden's initial attempt was stuffed but rolled past the goalie and she knocked it in from point-blank range. It was her team-leading eighth of the season.

Oneonta tied the game when Emma Parente found the net on an assist from Brenna Mast in the 28th minute.

The Devils would get two goals in the final five minutes of the first half. The first when Irwin took the ball down the right side near the endline. She passed the ball across the front of the goal where Mackey drove it home. The next score was by Irwin with 2:49 left in the half. Irwin then took a breakaway and beat a charging goaltender, placing the ball in the upper right corner.

Anna Ratchuk added an insurance goal with ten minutes left to play late in the second half.

Kaiden Ring scored for Oneonta in the 87th minute to give the 4-2 final.

Casey Fetzner made five saves for the Devils. Bryanna Meehan made four stops for Oneonta.

Oneonta falls to 0-2-2 in the SUNYAC and 2-6-3 overall.

The Devils (3-1-1 / 6-4-4) travel to Cortland on Wednesday.
