Mckenna Szmarz and Brooke Grazen scored Fredonia State's two goals in a 2-1 victory over Oswego on Saturday. It was the final regular season contest for the Devils, who will play host to a SUNYAC Tournament game for the second year in a row.

The Devils improve to 6-2-1 in the SUNYAC and 9-5-4 overall. Oswego, who also qualified for the tournament — is now 3-2-4 and 6-5-5 overall.

The Lakers scored 4:18 into the game for a 1-0 lead. Courtney Key used an assist from Kyla Sustad for the score.

The Devils would get on the board just before the half when Szmarz scored her third goal of the season in the 43rd minute.

Grazen, a defender, would drive home the game winner 75th minute. It was her first goal of the season.

Casey Fetzner made 12 saves in goal for Fredonia State. Oswego's Paytyn Crane made two saves. The Lakers had a 13-4 edge in shots on goal, and a 21-16 advantage in shots.

The Devils will play host to a quarterfinal game as the No. 3 seed. The top six teams qualify, with the Nos. 1 and 2 seed earning first-round byes. The Nos. 3 and 4 seeds get a home game.
