Devils defeat Morrisville, fall to Nazareth
The Fredonia State volleyball team defeated Morrisville, 3-2, and came up short, 3-0, against Nazareth at the Nazareth Invitational on Saturday.
In the victory over Morrisville, Emily Jones led the team with 15 kills and Christie Ackendorf had 10. Kourtney Krchniak had 39 assists, 11 digs, and five aces. Sierra Keim led the team with 23 digs. Erin Callahan and Selena Brown both had six blocks. The Devils won the sets by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-18, 17-25, and 15-12.
The Devils dropped a 3-0 match to Nazareth (22-25, 19-25, 21-25). Jones had 10 kills and Ackendorf eight. Krchniak had 25 assists and Keim again led the team in kills with 12.
Fredonia State (5-6) heads to Penn State Behrend on Tuesday.
