Devils make a splash, Bradley gets first win

The Fredonia State swimming and diving team won its first meet of the season this weekend, and head coach Bill Bradley claimed his first win. Rachael Mayou and Kayla Hagen both won two individual events and one relay. The ladies earned the team victory, out-pointing Pitt-Bradford, 114-45.

Mayou won the 200 free (2:13.50) and the 500 free (6:02.50). She combined with Megan Orrange, Anna Burt, and Cleo McDermott to take the 200 free relay (1:54.51).

Hagen won the 50 free (25.51) and the 100 free (56.69). She was on the team that won the 200 IM relay along with Orrange, Burt and Mindy Doktor. They touched out in a time of 2:05.39.

McDermott, Doktor, and Burt each won solo events:
 - McDermott, 1000 free in 12:31.96.
 - Doktor, 100 butterfly in 1:06.44
 - Burt, 100 back stroke in 1:13.18

Isabelle Price won the 1m diving event, with a score of 198.80.

The win was the first for Head Coach Bradley who officially took over the program this summer. 

The Devils are off to Ithaca on Saturday for a four-team event.

The Fredonia State men's track and field team had its final tune-up before the SUNYAC meet, taking part in the University of Rochester Spring Twilight Meet. Quillan Shimp took the podium, finishing first place in the 400m hurdles.

On April 25, Dods Hall on the campus of SUNY Fredonia was home to the annual Dunkirk-Fredonia Unified Basketball Game. In front of a raucous crowd, the two teams battled it out for four quarters.

Devils win two at The Wig

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.
