The Fredonia State women's volleyball team won its third straight match, taking down the Plattsburgh Cardinals, 3-1, on  Saturday. 

In the fourth and final set, the Devils trailed 24-23, when an Amaya Lewczyk kill tied the game. A pair of attack errors by Potsdam, and the Devils claimed the win.

The Devils won the sets by scores of 25-19, 25-19, 24-26, and 26-24..

Gabrielle Sordetto and Lewczyk both had 11 kills. Gabrielle Chilcott had nine. 

Elora Sherman had 19 digs and Kourtney Krchniak had 38 assists.

The Devils improve to 4-14 overall, and 2-3 in the SUNYAC. They travel to New Paltz and Oneonta next weekend.

The Fredonia State men's track and field team had its final tune-up before the SUNYAC meet, taking part in the University of Rochester Spring Twilight Meet. Quillan Shimp took the podium, finishing first place in the 400m hurdles.

Unified game a smashing success

On April 25, Dods Hall on the campus of SUNY Fredonia was home to the annual Dunkirk-Fredonia Unified Basketball Game. In front of a raucous crowd, the two teams battled it out for four quarters.

Devils win two at The Wig

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.
