The Fredonia State Blue Devils traveled to Potsdam on Saturday for another SUNYAC matchup. Despite a early Potsdam run in the first Fredonia was able to come back to secure a impressive 19-11 victory. 

Potsdam's Lindsey LaDue and Anita Reitano multi-point efforts  gave the Bears a 4-2 lead halfway through the first quarter. Erin Woods for Fredonia would respond with a  a hat trick to close out the first quarter. 

Back and forth both teams went throughout the second and third quarters, as Reitano and Mallory Marks also had their own respective hat tricks for the Bears. 

Heading into the fourth quarter, up by four, Fredonia began to pull away as Erin Woods had her second hat trick of the day, finishing the night with six goals. Sydney Buchko also contributed three goals and nine draw controls. 

Goaltenders Emily Carr and Jane Olszewski both split 13 saves each. Carr shined for her team when it mattered most today, closing out the fourth and final quarter with six saves on six shots. 

The Blue Devils will host SUNY Plattsburgh for their next matchup on Saturday, April 22 at University Stadium.

The Fredonia State men's track and field team had a strong showing this weekend at Westminster. The meet featured a number of Division I, II, and III schools. Cameron Sample had the top individual performance, a fourth place in the triple jump, and the 4x100 relay team took first place.

The Fredonia State softball team earned a series split against Plattsburgh and a sweep against Potsdam over the weekend to improve to 8-12 overall and 3-3 in the SUNYAC.
