Department of Psychology Distinguished Teaching Professor Andrea Zevenbergen  and Nicole Battaglia, a 2019 graduate of Fredonia with a major in Psychology, are co-authors on a peer-reviewed manuscript to be published in a forthcoming issue of Children and Libraries, a journal of the American Library Association.

The paper, titled "Co-Constructing Stories: Sharing Wordless Picture Books with Preschoolers," describes the results of a study investigating ways that parents may facilitate children's verbal contributions to discussions of wordless picture books.

The paper is also co-authored by Alli Angell, head of Youth Services at Benicia (CA) Public Library, and Caroline Kaicher, a junior undergraduate student at Colgate University.
