Adjunct Lecturer Nick Smith
Communication department Adjunct Lecturer Nick Smith presented two papers at the recent Broadcast Education Association Conference.
His paper, “Podcast production for students,” was presented as part of the panel, “From Classroom to Microphone: Inspiring the Next Generation of Student Podcasters,” exploring innovative approaches for cultivating genuine podcasting enthusiasm among college students.
Mr. Smith's paper, “Fantastic Movie Music and Where to Find It” explored the production and dissemination of film soundtracks. It was presented as part of the panel, “But Who's Gonna Tell Me What to Like?: The Future of Music Media.”
The BEA was established in 1955 and has approximately 2,500 members. The papers and research findings are being used in Smith's Audio Production I and II classes.
