Fredonia to host Day of Percussion for area students

The Fredonia Percussion Guild at Fredonia’s School of Music will host a free virtual Day of Percussion for middle school, high school and college students on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 9 a.m.

Evelyn Glennie, a solo percussionist who has performed with orchestras around the world, will open the program with a keynote address at 9 a.m. An interactive snare drum workshop, led by Jeff Queen, an acclaimed snare drum champion who has taught drum corps activity for over 18 years, will follow at 11 a.m. Results of the online snare drum competition will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
