FLI (pronounced FLY) is a series of dynamic, one-hour workshops designed to help students build and strengthen essential leadership skills.

Sessions will be led by dedicated faculty/staff members and student leaders who are committed to supporting student growth and development in key leadership competencies.

Because leadership skills are highly valued by employers, FLI is intentionally designed to help students grow as leaders both personally and professionally.

Students who attend these “FLIing Lessons” will earn a digital badge through FREDLearn that can be showcased on their LinkedIn profile. When designing FLI, coordinators Kevin Hahn and Mark Suida gathered feedback from students and faculty, and one key takeaway was the importance of recognizing student participation and professional development. Digital badges highlight engagement and a commitment to learning that can assist students in standing out when applying for jobs or graduate school.

FLI offers flexible participation options. Students are welcome to attend as many workshops as they choose — whether just one or the full series.

Students are encouraged to check out the schedule and get ready to take off! They are asked to register here for workshops or drop into the Student Life Office located in Williams Center Room G112 to speak with the FLI coordinators.

Questions can be directed via email to Mr. Hahn or Mr. Suida.
