A dozen works created by students will be debuted in May in the annual One Act Play Festival at Fredonia.
The festival, presented as part of the New Works Series by the Department of Theatre and Dance, runs from May 5 to 8 with performances each date at 7:30 p.m. in the Alice E. Bartlett Theatre of Rockefeller Arts Center.

Daniel F. Lendzian, assistant professor of performance, is curating the festival, which made its debut in 2025. The student works were again created as part of a playwriting course taught by Lendzian.
The playwriting course was added in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding opportunities in the theatre arts at Fredonia. The One Act Play Festival was established at the same as a way to showcase the student works.
