In celebration of International Education Week, the Office of International Student Services will hold its 12th annual Global Banquet.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Williams Center Horizon Room. It is open to all Fredonia students, faculty/staff, and community and seeks to celebrate Fredonia's international student population with an internationally themed menu, scholarship award announcements, student performances and a door prize raffle.
The menu will see dishes from Haiti, India, Canada, Japan, China, Korea, Italy and Syria. Performances will include international students studying music and dance, as well as student group performances from “Some Like It Hot,” the multi-cultural dance team, “Enfusion,” and others.
Proceeds from tickets sales will benefit international student scholarships. Tickets are $1 for students and $20 for non-students and are available to purchase online.
Sponsors include the Faculty Student Association, International Club, International Student Services, and Retention and Academic Success.
