Student Emergency Fund grants exceed $50,000, meet essential needs

Over $50,000 has been distributed to 240 Fredonia students to help them cover unexpected expenses related to the healthcare crisis and the pivot to distance learning, thanks to faculty, staff, alumni and friends who made donations to the newly created Student Emergency Relief Fund established through the Fredonia College Foundation.

New eSports Lounge already a winner with Fredonia gamers

The hardware in the new Blue Devil eSports Lounge is top-of-the-line: 13 Alienware gaming desktop computers, two over-sized TV screens mounted on walls and three consoles (Xbox, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch). But what also stands out when entering the eSports Lounge is how all this technology is wrapped together by Fredonia blue.

‘Policing in the 21st Century’ to be explored at next campus Brown Bag talk

Two leading area law enforcement officials, Ann Burns, chief of University Police, and FBI Special Agent Brent Isaacson, will speak at the campus’ next Brown Bag Lecture on Wednesday, May 1, at noon, in the Williams Center Room S204. Their presentation, “Policing in the 21st Century,” will examine the latest research and findings on preventing violence on campuses, with a focus on detecting and reporting people who may be planning an act of targeted violence.
