Koshi sets Devils pace in 5th place finish
Sembel Koshi turned in the top time for the Fredonia State men's cross country team at the Roberts Wesleyan Harry Anderson Invitational. Koshi turned in a time of 26:17.7 and finished 22nd out of 174 runners. The Devils finished fifth as a team.
Josh Walters and Kyle Campbell finished close behind, finishing 27th and 28th, respectively. Walters finished in 26:26.0 and Campbell 26:34.5.
Ted Tomasello, 38th in 26:54.6, and Patrick Klinger, 39th in 26:57.7, rounded out the scoring for the Devils.
Ethan Pocock, 27:37.2 in 59th place, and Joseph Hernandez-Bentley, 82nd in 28:27.6, were the displacement runners.
Sam Cottrell finished 86th in a time of 28:35.3.
This was the Devils' first competition since jumping into the latest regional rankings. They were 10th in the Niagara Region poll that came out earlier this week.
