Senior goaltender Jessica Kowalski was named the SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Kowalski helped lead Fredonia State to a 2-0 week and a 4-0 overall record. She recorded 19 saves in two victories and produced a .63 save percentage.
She had 14 saves in a 9-7 game against Westminster on Wednesday. In a 7-4 win over Nazareth on Saturday, she held the Flyers scoreless in the first and fourth quarters as the Devils mounted a comeback win.
Kowalski is now 4-0 with a 4.67 goals-against average and a .600 save percentage this season.
