Senior Associate Director Christopher LaGrow
Senior Associate Director Christopher LaGrow of the Office of Career Development served as Co-Chair of the 50th SUNYCDO Conference.
The event was held June 3 to 5, in Clayton, NY, and Mr. LaGrow’s work on the conference covered about a year and a half. The conference included two keynote speakers, one by Brandon Aldous, director of Internships and Employer Partnerships for SUNY System Administration, several breakout sessions, an awards program, and a program that honored two founding members — the organization’s first and third presidents — who were able to attend the conference.
LaGrow has been very active with SUNYCDO, serving in several board positions (including President) and it was the third conference he co-chaired. The organization’s first President was David Anderson, who in 1977 was the Director of Career Development at SUNY Fredonia. Judy Elwinger, who hired LaGrow, worked in Mr. Anderson’s office became Director of CDO at Fredonia, and was another early President and conference chair.
It was the largest SUNYCDO conference in several years.
