Journalism student enhances resume at summer newspaper internship

Chloe Kowalyk, a junior at SUNY Fredonia, had a front-row seat to the outpouring of community support extended to needy residents in a Buffalo neighborhood devastated by the mass shooting at a Tops Friendly Market last May. We all read about it; she experienced it.

Learn about student clubs and organizations at Activities Night

Students looking to join a student club or organization are invited to Activities Night, a showcase of more than 150 clubs and organizations who are rolling out the welcome mat to new members, in Dods Grove on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Fredonia’s Career Development Office will host its annual Job and Internship Expo on March 2, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Williams Center. The event is free and open to current students as well as SUNY Fredonia alumni.

Forensic scientist, alumna to speak at Fredonia Writers@Work residency

Forensic scientist Dr. Lori Ann Valentin, who earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from SUNY Fredonia in 2009, will return to campus for a two-day residency, “My Radiant Journey: Service through Science – A Chemist’s Perspective,” on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 7 and 8.
