The Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery in Rockefeller Arts Center will be open on Homecoming weekend with extended hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 21, and noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 22.
Homecoming 2023, slated for Oct. 20 to 23, marks the 60th anniversary of the Department of Geology, the 20th anniversary of the 1970s Reunion Jazz Ensemble, honored classes’ celebrations — and great theatre and athletic contests, along with a host of other special events.
Alumni and emeritus faculty from across the 60-year history of the Department of Geology (now Geology and Environmental Sciences) will converge at SUNY Fredonia over Homecoming weekend, Oct. 20 to 21.
Two alumni will be recognized during Homecoming Weekend, slated for Oct. 14 to 16, with Outstanding Achievement Awards – Cecilia (Howe) Fordham, ’59, and Sean Kirst, ’81. Many other activities are planned for the weekend.
A Homecoming pep rally, complete with assorted performances, prizes, games and other attractions, will fill the Steele Hall Arena on Saturday, Oct. 16, beginning at 7 p.m.
The red carpet will be rolled out – at multiple locations, in fact – as the Department of Communication celebrates its 40th anniversary during Fredonia’s Homecoming weekend, Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 14 to 17.
As is tradition at Fredonia, students selected the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen.
Homecoming 2020, organized by the Office of Alumni Affairs, will include several virtual programs in lieu of in-person events on Oct. 15 and 16.
Homecoming is slated for Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 20.
