Leogrande named RA of Month for November

Amy Leogrande, a senior Psychology major from Islip, and a Resident Assistant in Nixon Hall, has been named RA of the Month for November by Residence Life.

In nominating Ms. Leogrande, Fatihath Assani, the Resident Director of Nixon Hall, noted that “… Amy is incredibly intentional in her role and many aspects of what she does connect to the Institutional Learning goals.” This is Leogrande’s third semester as an RA.

“She supports the staff and makes sure to keep me in the loop at all times. I am very proud of Amy and her professionalism within the hall,” Ms. Assani continued.

Leogrande’s favorite part of being an RA is “forming a bond with my residents and getting to know more about them.” Assani indicated Leogrande “maintains a positive attitude regardless of what is going on in the hall. She has taken a leadership role and has become the go-to person for the staff and residents.”
