Freshman Haley Lerner continued her eye-opening freshman campaign, winning the women's pole vault at the SUNYAC Meet. Lerner was the No. 1 seed entering the event. Her vault of 3.35m topped second-place finisher Noelle Coolican of Geneseo, who recorded a height of 3.20m.

Eleanor Clarke earned a third-place finish in the javelin, with a distance of 34.70m, which was a regional qualifying throw. The winning toss was 36.41m by Alayna Fredenburg of Brockport.

Ally Battaglia set a Blue Devil freshman record with a time of 18:39.43 in the 5000m. Her time also ranked seventh in school history. She finished eighth overall and qualified for the Regional Meet. Battaglia also competed in the 1500m, finishing ninth in a time of 5:05.61.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.

After qualifying for the finals on Friday, Cara Pellechia finished fourth in the 100m dash, and also turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200m for the top two finishes for the Fredonia State women's track and field team.
