Kylie O'Brien became the 12th player in Fredonia State women's volleyball history to reach 1,000 career kills as the Blue Devils rallied from a first-set loss to defeat SUNY Canton, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon. Fredonia dropped the opening set 25-22 before claiming the next three, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-23.

O'Brien led Fredonia with 12 kills and a .258 hitting percentage, while Logann Lexner added 11 kills, two service aces and two blocks. Cayla Partsch chipped in eight kills and an ace, and Maeve Musielak contributed seven kills, three aces and 10 digs.

After Canton used a late surge to take the first set, Fredonia responded by controlling much of the second. The Blue Devils built a 22-15 advantage before holding off a late Roos push to even the match. Fredonia then delivered its strongest offensive performance in the third set, hitting .394 with 15 kills, and carried that momentum into a competitive fourth set that featured 10 ties and seven lead changes before closing out the victory.

The Blue Devils received strong play from their setters as Molly Cassidy finished with 21 assists and Olivia Boswell added 14 assists. Defensively, Sasha Zayatz recorded a team-high 11 digs, while Fredonia totaled 10 team blocks and 10 service aces. Donnilynn Sheldon led the front-row defense with five block assists, and Hannah Lombardi contributed three total blocks.
