Sophomore transfer Kendall Phillips was voted the SUNYAC Softball Pitcher of the Year by a vote of conference coaches at the conclusion of the regular season. In addition, sophomore Madison Lowe was named First Team and junior Avery Hill was tabbed Second Team.

Phillips sported a 0.79 ERA at the time of voting, which ranked sixth in all of NCAA Division III and tops in the SUNYAC. Her final season earned-run average was 1.19, and she had an 8-5 record in the circle. She struck out 117 batters in 89 1/3 innings, including a season-high 14 strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Plattsburgh.

"Great teammate and an outstanding player," said head coach Tony Ciccarello. "She joined us in January and fit right in with our culture. She is humble and a hard worker. We went as she went."

Lowe was voted in as an outfielder. She batted .360 (27 for 75), tops on the Devils. She led the team with two triples, and was second on the team with seven doubles. She upped her performance in SUNYAC play, batting .425 in conference action. Lowe also pitched 17 1/3 innings.

"She is such a team player," said Ciccarello. "She did a great job tracking down balls in right field and came through in the clutch at the plate."

Hill batted .338 (25 for 74) and led the team with 10 doubles and three homeruns. She batted .435 in SUNYAC games, which ranked her sixth in conference-only matchups. She was third in the league with 20 RBI in conference games.

"Avery had a breakout season and took charge behind the plate and was our power hitter," said Ciccarello. "Such a great teammate. A great sense of humor. She was great at working with the freshman catchers so they will be ready."

The Devils finished the season as the fourth seed with a 10-6 SUNYAC record, and went 13-18 overall.
