Anna Ratchuk recorded a hat trick and Gabby Irwin added a goal and two assists as Fredonia State closed out the regular season with a 5-0 SUNYAC victory over SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon.

Bronwyn Madden also scored for the Blue Devils, who improved to 10-3-3 overall and 4-0-3 in conference play. Fredonia outshot Cobleskill 30-1 and held a commanding 15-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Fredonia struck first in the 24th minute when Ratchuk finished a feed from Irwin. Less than seven minutes later, Irwin doubled the lead on an assist from Ratchuk, and Ratchuk added her second goal of the match just 1:50 later off a corner kick from Kacey Mosher to give the Blue Devils a 3-0 halftime advantage.

The Blue Devils continued to pressure the Tigers in the second half. Madden converted a penalty kick in the 53rd minute and Ratchuk completed her hat trick in the 59th minute after taking a through ball from Irwin.

Defensively, Fredonia limited Cobleskill to a single shot and one shot on goal. Alyssa Hatch made the lone save she faced while recording the shutout.

The Blue Devils are set to host Brockport for a non-conference game Tuesday before welcoming a SUNYAC opponent to University Stadium Saturday for a SUNYAC Tournament second round matchup.
