Winners of the 37th Annual Rosa Parks Scholarship Competition will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

The event, which will put the spotlight on all entrants in the competition, will be held at noon in the Horizon Room in the Williams Center. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

The winners include:

  • Otoha Asami, a sophomore Dance major from Tokyo, Japan, with a dance routine, “Fragile Ice.”
  • Hermon Kidane, a senior Music Education major from Webster, NY, with a vocal rendition of “Lift Every Voice.”
  • Kalen Harley, a sophomore English major from Jamaica, NY, with a poem, "Acceptance is an Acquired Taste."

The Intercultural Center and the Rosa Parks Scholarship Competition Committee are coordinating the ceremony.
