Sellers and Kaufman earn SUNYAC women's soccer weekly honors

Fredonia's Katie Sellers

Fredonia's Katie Sellers and SUNY Buffalo State's Sam Kaufman have been picked as the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

Sellers scored three straight goals for the Devils in her game against SUNY Buffalo State and added one more in the second half in a 7-2 victory. In her game against Potsdam, Sellers found the back net once in the second half and helped the Devils secure a 4-0 victory to go 2-0 in SUNYAC play with 5 goals on the week.

Kaufman was the star of the show for SUNY Buffalo State in a 0-0 draw against Cortland, making seven saves to keep a clean sheet for the Bengals. She also added three saves as a substitute for the Bengals against Fredonia on Wednesday evening.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.
