Dr. Gurmukh Singh
Dr. Gurmukh Singh of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences conducted a variety of professional activities.
In Fall 2025, Dr. Singh evaluated a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) dissertation of a candidate from the Faculty of Sciences, Department of Physics, University of North Bengal, Pune, India. Dr. Singh was selected, from a panel of three foreign examiners, to act as an external foreign examiner of the thesis entitled, “Flow and fluctuation study in nucleus-nucleus collisions using transport models.”
Also, Dr. Singh designed a lab book, “Intro to Information Systems.” The book is specially designed for the SUNY Fredonia undergraduate students who are majoring in Information Systems as well as for Business and Accounting majors/minors. It was published by Pearson Collections and contains 10 labs based on the two latest versions of MS software, e.g., MS Excel 365 and MS Access 365, and has been adopted for the first time by the instructors teaching the Introduction to Information Systems (CSIT151) course in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. The same lab book will be used in subsequent semesters.
