Thompson Hall
The Henry C. Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders at SUNY Fredonia will resume offering support group meetings for stroke and head injury survivors and family members on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
A typical group meeting will include activities to help stroke and head injury survivors use compensatory strategies to improve communication skills, provide educational information and an opportunity to socialize and share experiences. Light refreshments will be provided.
Meetings are free and open to stroke/head injury survivors and their families.
The Youngerman Center recognizes that there are individuals in the community whose insurance benefit for therapy has exhausted but their hopes for improvement have not. Please contact Coordinator Julie Williams, at (716) 673-4618 or (716) 673-3203 for more information about attending the group.
All sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. in Thompson Hall Room E148 on campus. Additional Stroke/Head Injury Support Group Meetings dates for the fall include Oct. 6, Oct. 20, Nov. 3, Nov. 17 and Dec. 1.
