Ximena Ramirez Hernandez, a senior from Queretaro, Mexico, was named October Resident Assistant of the Month by the Office of Residence Life.  

Ms. Hernandez, a third semester RA, is a Visual Arts major with a minor in Communication and is also part of the Sigma Kappa sorority. 
When asked about her favorite thing about Fredonia, Hernandez replied, “I love the strong sense of community at Fredonia and how everyone is so supportive. The campus is also full of creativity, especially in the arts, which makes it an inspiring place to study.”

After graduation, Hernandez plans to find a job as a children's book Illustrator or an art teacher.   

Hernandez was nominated by Residence Director Ronny Nissen of McGinnies Hall and the Care Coordinator of Residence Life, Jennifer Delevan.  

"Ximena is a vital part of our community, always ready with support and kindness,” Mr. Nissen remarked. “She's got this amazing talent for knowing when someone’s feeling off and making sure nobody ever gets overlooked. RA Ximena genuinely cares about getting to know everyone in the building.” 

Ms. Delevan also complimented Hernandez’s abilities, stating, “Ximena's awareness and presence in the hall is superior all while balancing a challenging course load and other extracurricular activities.”
