Study abroad informational virtual events slated for September

The Office of International Education is hosting a number of events in September to help students prepare for a study abroad experience.

Workshops will focus on exploring SUNY's 700+ study abroad programs, applying for scholarships and funding, and fitting an overseas experience into a four-year degree program.

Study Abroad 101 – Sept. 2, 7, 15, 16, 20, 24 and 29, at 1 p.m.

Financing Study Abroad – Sept. 15, 20, and 29, at 2 p.m.

Gilman Scholarship Workshops – Sept. 16, 24 and 28, at 2 p.m.

SUNY virtual Study Abroad Fair – Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Yan Jiang, a SUNY Fredonia sophomore double major in Public Accountancy and Business Administration-Finance, was one of 52 students from throughout the State University of New York selected to receive the Norman R. McConney Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

Distinguished SUNY Fredonia alumni — Reginal “Reg” Spiller, who is President and CEO of Azimuth Energy LLC and CEO of subsidiary Azimuth GIS-E, and Tim Zulawski, who is President of AMB Sports and Entertainment — will be the keynote speakers for Commencement at SUNY Fredonia.
