Welcome Week will herald the start of the spring semester with an abundance of activities spread over 10 days.
Choose from among the following events arranged by the Office of Campus Life.
- Craft Night —A variety of crafts, perfect for decorating your residence hall room. Free supplies will be furnished. Hosted by Spectrum Entertainment Board on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m., in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room
- Movie screening — “Scooby Doo” will be presented and an array of refreshments that include popcorn and Scooby-snacks will be available. In the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. Hosted by Spectrum Entertainment Board on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6:15 p.m.
- Bring Back the Bands — Favorite local bands, such as Tetris Effect, Bone Machine, Paper Tigers and New Venice, will be brought by popular demand to play on the Williams Center Multipurpose Room stage on Friday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
- Karaoke Night — The Karaoke Club hosts this popular event in the Williams Center Blue Lounge on Saturday, Jan 24, from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Blue Devil Gaming — Two hours of video game fun hosted by Blue Devil Gaming in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Sunday, Jan. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m.
- Bicentennial Breakfast on the Go — Pick up donuts, coffee and tea on your way to class. In the lobby of University Commons. Hosted by the Fredonia College Foundation on Monday, Jan. 26, from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Activities Night — Learn about a wide variety of student clubs and organizations in the Steele Hall Fieldhouse. Hosted by the Student Association on Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
- General Assembly – The Student Association hosts its first open meeting of the semester in Williams Center Room S204 on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m.
- Raising Our Voices — Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision through music, dance and performance. Hosted by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Presidential Commission in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Friday, Jan. 30, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Open Skate — Open to college students. Free skate rentals for the first 50 college students with FRED ID. Hot chocolate will be furnished. Sponsored by Campus Life, Intercultural Center, the Faculty Student Association, and Athletics and Recreation. In the Steele Hall Ice Arena on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
