BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Ted Tomasello ran the 10,000m in a time of 32:30.50 to finish in 13th place at the Atlantic Regionals hosted by Moravian University recently.
He was the only Fredonia State male athlete to compete. The meet featured athletes from 41 different colleges that make up the Atlantic Region.
The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.
For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
Riding the steady right arm of senior Emily Chelius, the Fredonia State softball team claimed a 6-2 win in Game 1 of its doubleheader at Buffalo State and qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament.
