The SUNY Fredonia Office of Veterans Affairs will host its annual Veterans Remembrance Ceremony.
The observance, on Friday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room, is free and open to the community.
The event provides a forum through which the university and surrounding community gather to remember, honor and show gratitude to the countless men and women who have served the U.S. through the many branches of the Armed Forces. The Dunkirk High School Junior ROTC will present and retire the colors.
A highlight of the event is the presentation of the annual SUNY Fredonia Veterans Scholarship, the Courage and Honor Scholarship and the Ronald L. and Marilyn Denison Scholarship, all made possible through gifts to the Fredonia College Foundation.
