Nearly the entire scoring group from last year's SUNYAC Championship returns for the Fredonia State women's cross country team, setting up a stable and experienced roster under Head Coach Tom Wilson. The Blue Devils will again host the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional on Nov. 14, following a seven‑meet schedule that begins Sept. 5 at Brockport and includes the Kara Hall Memorial Invitational on Oct. 2.
Sophomore Siera Shenoy leads the way after finishing 37th at SUNYAC in 25:43.4 as a freshman. She is joined by fellow sophomores Emily Frank and Erin Smith, both of whom scored at the conference meet and gained valuable championship experience. Junior Calie Hudson adds leadership to a roster that was one of the youngest in the SUNYAC last season. With four SUNYAC scorers returning, Fredonia enters 2026 with stability and a clear path for improvement.
The Blue Devils will close their regular season at Geneseo on Oct. 16 before competing at the SUNYAC Championship on Oct. 31 at Oneonta. Hosting the Niagara Regional two weeks later will again spotlight Fredonia's campus and community, with more than 300 runners from 30 teams expected to compete for NCAA qualification.
