School of Business Associate Professor Tai Yi has co-authored the article “Corporate Social Responsibility, Media Freedom and Firm Value,” published in Finance Research Letters, an international peer reviewed journal.

Dr. Yi and co-authors Kiyoung Chang and Hyeongsop Shim examine whether the media freedom level of a country plays a mediating role in the interaction between corporate social responsibility and business-to-consumer industries or between corporate social responsibility and advertising intensity, and influences firm value.

Yi presented this research at the Business Research Consortium of Western New York in 2018 and the Southwest Finance Association annual meeting in Houston in 2019.
