Dr. Junaid Zubairi
Dr. Junaid Zubairi participated in the 2026 Higher Ed Symposium on AP Cybersecurity recently in Philadelphia.
Dr. Zubairi, a SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, was invited by the College Board as a Cybersecurity expert and academician involved in Cybersecurity research and education.
In the symposium, academic leaders and faculty members analyzed and tested the various components of an AP Cybersecurity course that was launched this year across the nation. The course is organized into five units including introduction to security, securing physical spaces, securing computer networks, securing network devices, and securing applications and data.
The board announced that the AP Networking course will be launched next year.
