A College Symphony Orchestra concert featuring faculty and School of Music Concerto Competition winner Michael Hawk is slated for Saturday, March 5 at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall, under the direction of Dr. David Rudge.

Three faculty soloists performing Beethoven's Triple Concerto in C major, Opus 56 include David Colwell, violin; Dr. Natasha Farny, cello, and Sean Duggan, piano. The second half of the program opens with Beethoven's overture to the opera, “Fidelio,” followed by two works featuring Mr. Hawk, a baritone, as soloist. Hawk will perform Britten's “Look! Through the port . . . And farewell, to ye, old Rights o’ Man!” from the opera “Billy Budd,” and Mozart's “Rivolgete a lui lo sguardo” from “Cosi fan Tutte.” The concert closes with De Falla's “El Sombrero con Tres Picos” Suite No. 2.

The concert is free and the campus and community are invited to attend.
