Faculty, guest artists offer varied musical treats

Several members of the School of Music faculty and guest artists will present an eclectic series of concerts in Rosch Recital Hall during September that are free and open to the community.

“Faculty Showcase,” a diverse program representing a cross-section of faculty that includes Anne Kissel, Andrew Seigel, Laura Koepke, Wildy Zumalt, I-Fei Chen, Jiyong Kim-Mai, Jamie Sampson, Roderick MacDonald, Alec Dube and Kieran Hanlon, will be performed on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m.

A faculty recital, “James Welch and Friends,” featuring romantic and contemporary music with fellow School of Music colleagues Mark DuBois, Daniel Ihasz, Julie Newell, Laurie Tramuta, Marlene Witnauer and Elizabeth Widzinski, will be given on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. Various works by Jason Robert Brown, Amanda Harberg, Hendrik Hofmeyr, Erich Korngold, Camile Saint-Säens and Robert Schumann, among others, will be featured.
