The Fredonia Wind Ensemble’s seventh and final performance on its spring regional tour will held be at King Concert Hall on March 28 at 8 p.m.

After four days of touring and performing at schools in Long Island, the musicians will return home to conclude the tour.

The group’s final performance’s repertoire will include exciting works such as, "And The Mountains Rising Nowhere" by Joseph Schwantner , “Child's Garden of Dreams” by David Maslanka, and "Scherzo à la Britten," by John Leszczynski. It will also be performing the North American premiere of Luis Serrano Alarcon's, "Three Sketches for Wind Ensemble." The work was commissioned by the Hong Kong Band Directors Association as well as Shun Yi Ma, a graduate in conducting from Fredonia; Danilo Delfin and Joseph Cheung, who facilitated the Fredonia Wind Ensemble China tour, as well as other Fredonia connections.

The Fredonia Wind Ensemble is comprised of Fredonia’s top wind, brass, and percussion students. The tour of Long Island included four days and six concerts performed alongside high school students, alumni and friends.

The event is free and open to the public.
