Marion Fellow Jason Dilworth to present artist talk

On Friday, Oct. 23, Assistant Professor Jason Dilworth, recipient of the 2014-2015 Marion International Fellowship for the Visual and Performing Arts and assistant professor of Visual Arts and New Media, will be presenting stories from his experience traveling across the North American interior.

The talk, "Listen Before Talking: A Journey of 4,376 Km Across the North American Interior," is slated for Marvel Theatre in the Rockefeller Arts Center at 6 p.m. All students, faculty, and community members are welcome to attend the event and the reception to follow.

Mr. Dilworth has a B.F.A. in Visual Communication from Weber State University in Ogden Utah, and a M.F.A. in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth of Richmond, Va. He joined Fredonia’s Department of Visual Arts and New Media as faculty in 2010 and teaches graphic design and typography. Informally educated in Deseret, his art and practice reflect a love of geology, history, ecology, mythology, mysticism, conceptual, performance and folk arts.
