The Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders at SUNY Fredonia will be offering support group meetings for stroke and head injury survivors and family members.

The group will meet twice during the summer semester. The meetings will be held in W118 Thompson Hall on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM and Tuesday, July 19, 2011.

A typical group meeting will include activities to help stroke/head injury survivors use compensatory strategies to improve communication skills, provide educational information, and an opportunity to socialize and share experiences. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Youngerman Center recognizes that there are individuals in the community whose insurance benefit for therapy has been exhausted but their hopes for improvement have not.

Please contact Julie Williams, Coordinator 673-4618 for more information about attending the group.
