University Police promotes Brian Studley

Brian Studley, a nine-year veteran of University Police at SUNY Fredonia, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

In his new position, Studley, who has 12 years of experience in law enforcement, becomes the supervising officer of the 3-to-11 p.m. shift. His promotion was based on the Civil Service examination, overall job performance, interviews with Chief of Police Ann Burns and Vice President for Student Affairs David Herman, and a review by the campus promotional committee.

A 1992 graduate of Akron Central (N.Y.) High, Studley holds an associate’s degree in Police Science at Erie Community College. He is also a certified general topics police instructor and police firearms instructor.

Prior to joining SUNY Fredonia, Studley worked in law enforcement at Stony Brook University.
