Wind Ensemble to premiere work by composer Paul Dooley

The Fredonia Wind Ensemble will be premiering, "Coast of Dreams for Wind Ensemble," by composer Paul Dooley at the group’s Thursday, Nov. 20 concert, to be held at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall.

Dooley, a current lecturer in performing arts technology at the University of Michigan, will be present to discuss his new work. He has been commissioned to compose nearly 40 original works, also acting as composer-in-residence for different symphonies over the years. Dooley’s work has earned him a wide range of awards and recognition.

redonia faculty, staff and members of the local community are invited to join the night of music which will also include performances of "Theme and Variations” Opus 43a by Arnold Schoenberg; "Cathedrals" by Kathryn Salfelder; "Les Couleurs Fauves" by Karel Husa, and "Keystone Celebrations" by John Cheetham.
