What can I do with a TESOL degree?

Marketing and Communications staff

SUNY Fredonia's Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) graduate program leads to New York State Teaching Certification in ESOL, which allows graduates to work in New York State public schools or pursue reciprocal certification to teach in other states.  Besides working in schools, graduates have gone on to teach adult learners, refugees, teaching English abroad, and a myriad of other career options where language learning is essential.  Currently, TESOL is a high-needs area for New York State public schools, so there are a lot of opportunities for employment.
