Aimee Nezhukumatathil's essay, "Birth Geographic," has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. It appears in the journal, Water-Stone. Her poem, "From the Ghost-Fish Postcards" has been published in the February 2011 issue of American Poetry Review. New works by the poet also appear in Sou'Wester, Crab Orchard Review, and Orion

Additionally, Professor Nezhukumatathil (at right) was recently featured reading one of her poems on PBS Newshour's online Artbeat.  She was invited to the Emma Willard School for Girls in Troy, NY to give a reading and guest teach several English classes in their 'Serving and Shaping Her World Speaker Series.'

School of Music Assistant Professor Don Marrazzo gave a master class at Houghton University and also did a two-day residency at Detroit Opera to work with members of the Resident Artist Program.
