Ann Deakin receives Fulbright to do research in Siberia

Ann Deakin has received an award from Fulbright Scholar Program to work on developing technology for geoconservation in Siberia.

Dr. Deakin, who teaches Geographic Information Systems in the Geosciences Department at SUNY Fredonia, will be going to the Institute of Natural Resources at Tomsk Polytechnic University for three months during the Spring 2012 semester.

The title of her project is: "Geospatial Technology as a Tool for Geoconservation in Siberia." She will be working with Dr. Olga Pasko in the Institute of Natural Resources at TPU.
