Activities Night, a wildly popular event associated with Welcome Back Week, will be staged at the end of the week, on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.

Students will have an opportunity to see all of the clubs the campus recognizes.

“Activities Night is a great opportunity to see the clubs that Fredonia has to offer all at one time.” - Assistant Director of Student Development Rachel Martin

A variety of additional Welcome Back Week activities await students.

  • A screening of “Encanto,” a computer-animated musical fantasy comedy film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, will be held at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Monday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. The film, hosted by Latinos Unidos, presents a tale of an extraordinary family who lives in a magical house that’s hidden in the mountains of Columbia. Snow cones for everyone!
  • Trivia Night and build-your-own-mac-and-cheese-plate will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25, in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room, beginning at 7 p.m. Students need to bring their smart phone to play.
  • Karaoke Night will be staged at the Tim Hortons’ stage on Wednesday, Jan. 26, beginning at 7 p.m.
  • Bingo, a highlight of Activities Night, will be played at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. Big prizes will be awarded. Past prizes have included gift cards, electronics and themed baskets.
  • Open Mic Night, where students have the opportunity to perform their own original pieces, will be held at the Tim Hortons’ stage in the Williams Center on Friday, Jan. 28, starting at 7 p.m. Doughnuts and hot chocolate will be served.

“Activities Night is a great opportunity to see the clubs that Fredonia has to offer all at one time,” said Rachel Martin, assistant director of Student Development. “Those that cannot attend the event are encouraged to visit FREDconnect to view information on our clubs or contact them.”

Students may also start a club of their own, if there are few clubs of interest to them. Visit the Student Association office on the first floor of the Williams Center for more information about starting a club.

Welcome Back Week events, hosted by Spectrum Entertainment, are free. Students should bring their FREDcard to participate in events.
