foursome winner of the Alumni Golf Tournament

With an impressive score of 56, the foursome of Ken Drummond, Josh Harrington, Kevin Kaszuba and Rob McAfee, representing Comfort Pest Control, won the annual Fredonia Alumni Golf Tournament held on July 19 at Shorewood Country Club, Dunkirk.

Now in its 11th year, the tournament has raised over $200,000, with the net proceeds going to student scholarships at Fredonia through the Fredonia College Foundation. Eight tournament sponsors and 25 tee sponsors supported the 2019 tournament. Proceeds help to fund a University Police scholarship and Alumni Association legacy scholarships.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.
