Students are encouraged to “be safe and get tested” during the 2023 observance of World AIDS Day on Friday, Dec. 1, at the Student Health Center in LoGrasso Hall.

There is no cost to students for the test (Chembio HIV ½ Stat-Pak Assy) that is administered by a fingerstick. Test results will be known within 10 minutes of taking the test.

Students can register online or click on the QR code found on World AIDS day posters placed on the campus.

World AIDS Day is an annual event that serves as a reminder of the global struggle to end HIV-related stigma, an opportunity to honor those who have been lost and a rallying cry to commit to working toward a day when HIV is no longer a public threat.

“Let communities lead” is the World AIDS Day 2023 theme.
