Campus food pantries re-opening

Food pantry locations are re-opening on campus with the return of students for the fall semester.

FREDDY’S Locker, located adjacent to the Blue Lounge in the Williams Center, will be open on Tuesdays, beginning Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The food pantry located at the Student Health Center’s main desk in Jewett Hall will open on Fridays, beginning Aug. 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students will need to show their FREDCard.

Students who are unable to access either pantry location can fill out the form online to arrange a convenient date and time to pick up food supplies.

Additional food pantries are located in Fredonia, Westfield, and Brocton, NY, and other Chautauqua County communities.

The Hospital Locator, a new app designed for the iPhone that lets you locate the nearest hospital, has been developed by Alim Darmenov, a sophomore Computer Science major, under the supervision of SUNY Distinguished Professor Junaid Zubairi.
